Four things, done properly
No colour bar, no blow-out menu, no upsell script. A barbershop that does barbering — and has done it on the same block for over a decade.

Bald to blended with no line anywhere in it. Razor-finished at the edge so it holds its shape for weeks.
III Hot-Towel Shaves
Three towels, hand-lathered brush, two passes with a hollow-ground straight razor, cold towel, balm.
IV Beard Sculpting
Cheek line, neck line, and a shape cut to your jaw rather than to whatever the clipper guard felt like.
II The room
A gentleman's lounge, not a queue
Dark panelling, brass lamps, a record on low. There's a pot of coffee and a tin of Moroccan mint tea by the window, and nobody will hurry you out of the chair.
